Gravida film-coated tablet

Gravida – a mulitvitamin preparation developed for pregnant women taking Hungarian needs and the latest international recommendations into consideration.

Why do we recommend this preparation?

Gravida is a complex multivitamin preparation containing 14 vitamins and 11 minerals.

It contains iodine! Iodine deficiency is very frequent in some regions of Hungary, and it must be so among expectant mothers too.1,2 The mother’s iodine deficiency may cause disturbances in the baby’s thyroid gland function, which is harmful to the development of the nervous system. In accordance with European recommendations for pregnant women, Gravida contains 0.15 mg iodine3.3.

Other important compounds:

  • 0.8 mg folic acid – Gravida contains the amount of folic acid proven efficacious and safe from preventive respects in clinical trials.5,6,7
  • 30 mg iron – The efficacy and favourable tolerance levels of the amount of iron in Gravida is proven by clinical trials.8,9,10

In what cases is the preparation recommended?

  • Before conception: to prevent and reduce the occurrence of particular disturbances of development
  • During pregnancy and lactation: to prevent vitamin, mineral and trace element deficiencies owing to increased requirements
  • To help the baby develop appropriately
  • For mothers not nursing their babies after giving birth for a period of 3 months
